Default is your baby on scheduled feeding times?

do you feed your baby on a schedule? just curious how many moms out there do, and what the schedule looks like. (how often, etc.)

    nope!
It never made sense to me to try to "schedule" a baby who knows he's hungry, and who has a tummy the size of a ping pong ball, on a liquid diet, trying to triple his body weight in one year.
Plus, his high-intensity, demanding personality never would have allowed it!

my 8 month old has never had a schedule, but she usually eats about every 3 hrs during the day. Sometimes every 2 hrs, sometimes every 4. I think it's also related to her napping b/c she usually falls asleep while nursing. I stopped worrying about the schedule though, and have learned to go with the flow, based on her cues. If I know I have something I must do at a certain time, though, I try to feed her before I need to leave.

No schedule. We had a napping schedule for a long time and would always nurse then nap, but since Logan started teething the napping schedule went right out the window.

I just nurse him when he seems hungry (which is a lot) and he tends to nurse almost every hour in the morning then goes for 4 hour stretches in the afternoon. At night (since the teething started) he's nursing about 3 times but I don't know what time because I'm half asleep.

We were doing the feeding schedule when he came home as a newborn w/ jaundice and I HATED it. It became so much easier to feed on demand.

I don't have a schedule, but we do have a routine.

    Typical day:

    7:30am bf
    9:30am bf
    11:30am bf
    2:00pm bf
    4:30pm bf
    6:30pm bf
    9:00pm bf
    sleep
    1:00am bf
    4:00am bf

Now, if he is growth spurting, teething, etc. I adjust and feed more often. I also do small "snacks" if he is fussy. Basically, the routine makes sure he is fed before he gets cranky/hungry.

    I consider it "pre-demand".

No schedule here either. She has her own little routine though.

We started a routine/schedule kind of thing after 1 year when my son started to eat solids regularly. Before that it was all on demand, sometimes every half hour sometimes every 2 hours.

I do on demand as well... Or, when I think he should be hungry? I dunno when he nurses he falls asleep.

Basically no schedule we go with the flow with about everything except night time when he gets his bath. He gets fussy if he doesn't get it at or around that time.

O gosh a schedule would be awesome! No way would my lo go for that. She is very demanding. Plus with growth spurts, teething etc.. who can schedule around all that. It would be nice.
