    Default What are prolactin receptors?

    Hello All,
I was reading an article on KellyMom and found this to be interesting:
"If she fed her baby frequently enough and laid down enough prolactin receptors in the first two weeks to a month, there is hope that we can bring the milk back up"
    http://www.kellymom.com/parenting/sleep/4mo-sleep.html
What does this mean? What are prolactin receptors, and what is the window in which they must be created?
I feel like I've read a lot about BFing but have not yet come across this. Any info would be appreciated.
    Thanks!
