    Default Canteloupe?

Thomas is starting solids, with a basically BLS approach but some flexibility (spoons are ok with us ).We've tried avocado, which wasn't a big hit. He has tried tackling us to get to our canteloupe when we're eating it. Is there any reason he shouldn't try it? We have no history of allergies (does canteloupe even cause allergies? ).

Oh he's 6 months old tomorrow, in case that's important. Thanks!

    from that link
Cantaloupe is not a commonly allergenic food, is not known to contain measurable amounts of goitrogens, oxalates, or purines, and is also not included in the Environmental Working Group's 2003 report "Shopper's Guide to Pesticides in Produce" as one of the 12 foods most frequently containing pesticide residues.

my ds loves, loves, loves cantelope. i heard somewhere (prob an old wives tale, lol) that breast milk is sweet like a cantelope, which is why they love the fruit. have you tried watermelon yet? that's a great one, too. hth

Thanks to you both! I think canteloupe is going to be the next thing we try.
