Default Smelly poop in 3 week old?

    Hi, I'm new here

My 20 day old daughter is breastfed only and has very smelly poops.

She poops very frequently in small, explosive amounts and does have a lot of gas but it's more the smell that worries me.

Is this normal? My son (now nearly 2) didn't have this issue.

    Thoughts?

    Thank you so much.

how smelly is smelly? my dd's poop (in large explosive amounts) don't smell too good to me either. i remember reading how bf-ed babies poop tend to smell like adult poo, if i'm not wrong.

Actually, I was told the opposite - that BF'd babies poop smells relatively benign ... my son's was.

When DS was little, his poop smelled only when I have been eating eggs. I'm guess its the mother's diet?

It doesn't seem to matter what I eat

Ok, maybe it's just the way she is. I don't know. We'll see!

    Thank you.
