    Default Getting menstrual period again

I thought at this point (DD is 15 months) I would get my periodn, but I haven't yet.
I actually want to, as I want to get pregnant again. Is that normal? What's everyone else experience?

    Hi MissD,
It can really vary. Each situation is different.
According to LLL's WOMANLY ART OF BREASTFEEDING, John & Sheila Kippley (of the Couple to Couple League) gathered data on American women who practiced total breastfeeding for the first 6 months and then introduced solids gradually. They found an average 14.6 months without periods following childbirth. But this is just an average. Some will experience a return before 6 months postpartum. Others will go as long as 2.5 years.

Here's a link to LLL's page about fertility.

For me it was 16 months and 14 months, BTW.

For me, it has been 16 months postpartum with no signs of a period. I also would like to get pregnant again. I spoke to my ob/gynecologist about it and he said that it is quite possible to get pregnant without having a period first, especially as in my case, my periods were very light anyway.
