Post 36 weeks and no colostrum

This is my 5th pregnanacy. I have three children who were all breastfed. I've never had this problem before. With my other pregnancies, i started producing colostrum by my 33rd week at least. I am 36 weeks and so far nothing! The only difference I can think of is that I have gestational diabetes with this pregnancy. I am worried that this will affect my ability to breastfeed my baby when he is born. Can this be normal? Please help!

Yes, it can be normal. Additionally, you don't have to leak colostrum to be making it!

    Here's some info on colostrum:

I didn't have colostrum with dd, but have it with this pregnancy. I had plenty of milk for her within 48 hours after our c-section birth.

    Congratulations on your upcoming arrival!

How did starting go with your other kids?
I'm sure you'll do fine! Aviod bottles at birth and things will fall into place.
