    Question Upper frenum question

My LC thinks my baby might have a tight upper frenum (the little muscle the connects the inside upper lip to the upper gum). He is also tongue-tied, though not severely. I know both are hereditary, and from my orthodontist, I do know for sure that my own frenum was problematic. We have a consultation set up with a pediatric oral surgeon, but I was wondering if anyone else encountered this issue? My nipples are cracked on the side that is at the top of his mouth when he nurses, rather than at the area that comes into contact with his tongue, which is apparently unusual.

    Any advice is appreciated!
