    Default Second let down?

I just posted about this in Newborns, but thought I would post here too...

Is it normal to feel a second let down while nursing? I never felt that when I nursed DD. This time around I have such a strong let down w/ DS that he chokes and milks shoots out and about 5 minutes into a nursing session, I'll feel another let down. Not nearly as strong as the first but still noticeable.

    yup.
I have had pumping sessions where I've had like 4 letdowns. Not often but a few times.

When I pump at work, I work on my computer and let it go for 30 minutes. I will always have 2 let downs, sometimes 3. Completely normal. If your lo is choking with it though, you could maybe try changing breasts? By the time you change over the let down will be done and it won't "gush" as badly - maybe?

    Hi, Kris,

I have had as many as four letdowns in one feeding. I didn't know if that was normal, either. The latter ones are never as strong as the first but nonetheless, they are there.
