on april 30, i gave birth to my first, and then from what i found out would be my only, baby girl. she was 15 weeks early, i just made week 25 by the skin of our teeth, and have been living the nicu life since. my daughter is now 122 days old, and went from a fiesty little 1 pound 7 ounce baby to a starting to be little chunker at a whole 4 pounds 8 ounce, but i'm having some bf issuse, i've tried almost everything that everyone has told me, and still not having much luck. i started pumping the day i left the hospital, i started leaking, and figured if i was gonna try there was no better time to start. with not much help from the hospital's lc i went on trying, giving it my best shot. but after all this time, and pumping, and pumping, and pumping, i still only get about 4 ounces in a complete day....grrrr....which does not help, because she had to have surgery on her belly, and since this, they had to supplement when they ran out of my milk with preemie formula, which they found out she can not tolerate. they have her set up with a donor milk program for at the least while she is in the hospital, but i would love to be able to provide enough for her by the time she comes home...which is not unfortunately for another 2 & 1/2 months or so, she still has at least 1 more surgery before she comes home. everything is getting quite frustrating, and stressfull, which i know doesn't help, but she was my first, and we were far from expecting all of this. does anyone have any ideas of other things to try, and what else can help?
