I don't know for sure, but I gave my dd some when she was 8 months old. I just cut them in half and gave them to her that way. She hated them though!

We started giving our lo blueberries around 8 or 9 months - just mushed them with our finger. They are still her absolute favorite - I think her birthday cake is going to be blueberry!

We gave blueberries @ about 7.5-8 months. We cut in quarters (cause I'm paranoid). No reaction from the blueberries, but the diaper was sure colourful!

OK, I'm bad. I give them to her straight.....well washed, but not cooked, cut or anything. She mushes them in her mouth and eats them. We've been doing this since she was about 9 months. She eats them with no troubles.

Thanks for the input. I cooked them in her oatmeal this morning.

We started giving DS raw blueberries when he was about 9 mo. At first I "smushed" them a little bit with my finger to break the skin. Now at 13 mo he eats them whole. One of DS favorite foods is the frozen tiny wild blueberries - straight out of the freezer! With the first handful he gets a little brainfreeze look but then keeps on grabbing more and more.

I love Lynn, I hadn't thought of frozen blueberries! our DS LOVES them and the floods have meant they are hard to find now. We do frozen peas and corn, (his choice)
