Default What kind of milk do you give your LO?

We're at the year point... I am willing to let DD try "other" milk. Should I offer cow's milk? Or should I try soy or rice? She hasn't exhibited any allergic reactions to any foods we have given her, including dairy.

I don't know what to do...

I've never been nursing at the 1 year mark before, but I gave my kids 2% cows milk. That's what every ped I've talked to has recommended. Would she need cows milk (or any other milk) if she's still nursing though? IDK, I'm just asking b/c I hope to still be nursing at this point also! Sorry I'm not so helpful

If she nurses 3-4 times a day, she doesn't need any other milk. Otherwise whole milk is the best choice since soy or rice milk doesn't have the necessary nutrients for baby's development.

if you don't want baby to have much cows milk that is fine, nothing wrong with that.
My kids only eat it with thier cold cereal.
They eat cheese and yougart, but we don't drink it as a beverage at our house.
