All is well. My wife has been pumping regularly and we have been strictly feeding her the breastmilk.

Last night we had an interesting incident. My wife came down with 102° fever and flu like conditions (acky, hot/cold, etc). We have a doctor appointment today to see exactly what it is. I did some research on the internet and found this link.

I will reply with an update.

Yup that's it. She has Mastitis. She is taking an antibiotic called Keflex. The pediatrician says that it is ok to take the antibiotic when breastfeeding. What does everyone think?

I've been taking Keflex too (i'm breastfeeding my 5-month-old son), and everything I've found says it's fine. I took it right after he was born too and had no problems.

The best thing she can do is take baby to bed with her and nurse lots! Rest and nursing are super important for overcoming mastitis. Hope she's feeling better soon!
I love my kids. I care for them accordingly. What more can I say?
