Default what does it mean when they spit up?

my baby sometimes spits up a little in between breasts, does it mean she's full? I always offer the other breast and she keeps eating.
other times, she spits up after she's done with both ..... what does it mean? I hope it means she's full!

My understanding is that babies often spit up because they are still figuring out the whole swallowing thing. They take in lots of air with their milk and sometimes the air bubbles push some stomach contents- a.k.a. spit up- out when they emerge as burps. They're likely to spit up more when they're full, because there's more in the stomach to get pushed back up.

As soon as the baby is a more controlled eater and is taking in less air, and is able to self-burp via body movements, spitting up diminishes greatly.
