    Default Spraying Milk ??!!! help!!!

    Hi,

    anyone having the same problem with me? when my breast is full it start spraying milk everywhere... how to solve this problem??? usually when i open my bra, it's fine until my LO sucks it and stop and then she pulled away.. and then it start spraying like crazy...

    i dont have time to pump before the feeding since i didnt know it will spray like that until she sucks.

    Sounds like a bit of what is called overactive/forceful letdown (or OALD).

    Here's a link with some more info - there're tips on how to manage it as well.

    You probably don't want to pump before because that may send the signal to your body to keep up that level of production... try the position changes and other 'natural' ways to remedy that link gives first.

    A call to your local LLL or IBCLC may also be warranted if you still are having trouble working it out - you'll find the links in my signature

    It sucks mine does the same thing. I just keep a towel near by and if DS pulls off I let it spray into the towel. However, now that he's a little older he can handle the spray and he doesn't pull off that much anymore. If he does its just to let it spray in his face for a laugh! Keep with it and it will get better.

    I had the same problem until around 3 months and then my supply self-regulated, never had it since.
