    Default Sterilizing my pump

I'm using the Avent Isis, and it's working pretty well for me since I don't pump very often. I was wondering, though, if I still need to sterilize it after each use. The directions say that I should, but I was wondering if it is necessary. My baby is almost 6 months old and healthy. Is it okay just to wash it well? I don't have a sterilizer, and it seems like a lot of my time is taken up with boiling it in distilled water! LOL TIA!

Hot, soapy water should be okay. If it's dishwasher safe, then go that route.

I have the Isis as well. You can just wash with hot soapy water and you can also put it on the top rack of your dishwasher and it's totally safe! I use one of those containers on the top rack that holds smaller items that might move around. All the Avent stuff is top-rack dishwasher safe.
