My baby was pre-term and we had a slow start getting the hang of nursing. For the first few days after my milk "came in", I pumped after every feeding and had my husband or someone give her the pumped milk. She was basically eating every hour this way. It did the trick for my supply (I eventually had OVERsupply!) and got her jaundice flushed out within a week. I think the key was to keep waking her and feeding her and knowing that I was doing the right thing by not giving her formula. I had to be so determined (especially with the drs at the hospital!!!). I remember crying along with the baby as we struggled to get a latch and everything figured out. She is still "little", but thriving and beautiful. STAY STRONG and YOU CAN DO IT!!!
