I have just learned about BLS and have a ton of questions. My first is, do any of you WOH? My DH is a SAHD and I'm not entirely sure he will be on board with this if I give it a go. How did you get the SAHD or daycare provider to agree to allow BLS?

I WOH and my DS is in day care. I shared with DH the research that I'd done about baby led approach. I think at first he was interested but a bit skeptical. We did try spoon feeding DS a few times and DS was so totally not interested in being fed and clearly wanted to feed himself - so that helped convince DH the rest of the way. Seeing how well DS does at feeding himself has totally convinced my DH and now he's a baby led advocate.

As for day care - I knew they took a more traditional approach to solids, so I waited to send solids to day care until DS was about 9.5 mo old and then only sent foods that I knew DS had "mastered" at home. They thought at first that it was a bit odd to skip purees, but were impressed at DS self feeding abilities and I think I won them over.

Thank you so much! I am excited that it worked for you.

I'm still doing some reading on this topic, so I'll probably be back with more "practical" questions.
