Question Must change plastic bottles after 6 months??

I was washing out my bottle in the company restroom after a pumping session, and a woman I work with told me you should throw away plastic bottles after 6 months. I asked why, and she said "because they're plastic". Eh? Anyone else heard this?

I have been using mine for almost 9 months. They are not worn or anything. I have not heard of this.

Maybe if the plastic was being microwaved... But since you're not supposed to do that w/ bm OR formula, I would say ignore the advice...

Maybe because plastic in general is not good for us, microwaved or not. I wish I could have done the glass bottle route. Actually, I did save some of my baby food jars and have been freezing the milk in those. It is safer than plastic I think. IMHO. Not that I can bear to get rid of the plastic I have brought into this house.
