    Default how long can expressed milk last out of fridge?

    how long is it safe to have expressed milk out of the fridge? what if she doesn't finish the bottle right away, can i either finish in an hour? or put back into the fridge? thanks!

    I believe 4 hours out of the fridge; my daycare lets it sit for an hour and then re-offers it to the baby, but thereafter dumps the rest. Hope this helps.

    This is what my family does also. I dont really trust that the milk can still be good after 4 hours.

    If it's fresh from the boob it's good for at least 6-8 hours. I even read 10 hours somewhere recently. Here's info (including the 10 hour guideline): http://www.kellymom.com/bf/pumping/milkstorage.html
