Default Cold Milk vs. Warm Milk

A friend of mine visited with her 3 week old baby girl. When she began bottle feeding (formula--she isn't able to breastfeed) her I asked if she wanted me to heat it up. She said no, it was fine just like that (she had stored it with an ice pack in the bottle bag).

Is it okay to give a baby cold milk? I thought milk should be warm whether it's breast milk or formula for at least 6 or 9 months?

I'd love to be educated on this topic

Our pediatrician says temperature doesn't matter. If her baby likes it cold, that just makes it easier for them--lucky them .
