Just curious as to how long some of you have continued to pump after one year.

I don't pump, but I still answered. I'm a SAHM right now and I don't pump, Connor is EBF (meaning no bottles). I'm starting school soon and will not be pumping or leaving any milk for him. He'll be at my mom's or with DF M-F 8am-2pm. He looooves food, so I'm not worried one bit. I plan to still nurse on demand when he's with me also.

So, if I did pump... I would say 12 months.

I pumped until Em was about 15/16 months old. Maybe a bit longer. She doesn't drink milk so I didn't wnat to quit until she was definitely eating enough dairy. Since she was not al that interetsed in food until she was about 14 months old I kept at it!

DD2 is allergic to dairy so I shall be pumping for some time yet. She is nearly 14 months now, I'm guessing I have another 6 months to go, time will tell. DD1 had no dairy issues and I stopped pumping for her when she was 13 months, she just drank goats milk whilst I was at work and nursed when she was with me.

I made it to two years one day. I was very happy at that point to say goodbye to pumping. DS is EBF at one year and does not eat solids!!! If he weans before two I would pump until then.

    Mama to DD Mariah 04/03 2lbs 8oz BF 2yrs 1 day!
    DS Ryan 07/06 4lbs 15 oz No solids until 18 mo's!

I weaned from the pump at 12months (give or take a week or two) and was very happy to see it go.

I still nurse on demand, whenever we are together as she's not big into diary or solids - but getting there!

I will continue to nurse on demand until we both decide to be done with it.
