    Default Night Weaning

I am looking for some suggestions for gently night weaning my 13 month old son.

Some nights he goes to bed at 8:00 and sleeps till 7:00 the next morning, but most nights he wakes around 2, 4 and then again at 6. He normally is up for good around 7 or 7:30.

He sleeps in his own room, and I bring him to our bed to nurse. He does not fall asleep at the breast, and has no problem going right back to sleep once back in his crib.

He nurses often during the day (between 6-10 times normally) and is eating a good ammount of solids...breakfast, lunch, dinner and some snacks.

Any suggestions on how to night wean in a gentle and loving way?

the most gentle night-weaning suggestions I have seen come from Dr. Jay Gordon, but they are more geared towards the family bed. He does say, however, that they could be used with a baby that doesn't sleep with you...
