    Default Pumping and BF???

I plan give my baby breastmilk in a bottle starting at about 4 weeks. I want to bottle feed during the day and BF at night, or when I am home... is that possible? I sure hope so... I want to maintain that connection and bond, but I do have to return to work....

Totally ok. I have to go back to work in a week. I plan on nursing before I go to work, pumping about 3 times while there, and then nursing in the evening and all night like regular. I have been told that it's a good idea to pump right before you go to bed too to keep up your supply, and just freeze it if it's extra. Good luck, enjoy those last 4 weeks before work. They fly by.

I've been doing this since I went back to work at 8 weeks, and my son is about 5 months now. My normal schedule (baby dependent, of course)

6 am Breastfeed, Go to work after
9 am-ish Baby gets a bottle of EBM
12-ish Go home to breastfeed, or baby gets bottle of EBM
3 pm-ish Baby gets a boddle of EBM
    5:30 pm Home and breastfeed
    7:30 pm Breastfeed
Then I breastfeed on demand through the night until 6 am.

I just make sure that as many bottles that he gets during the day, I've pumped that amount to make up for it.

This is TOTALLY doable!! You should try to pump 3x while at work if possible to keep your milk supply up though!! Let me know if you have ?'s about that!!

You absolutely can pump while you're at work and nurse when you're home.

It helps a lot to nurse "on demand" at home, and especially on your days off. This helps your production levels to keep up with your baby's needs.
