    Default freezing refridgerated milk

just found out most of my frozen stash smells sour and tastes gross so i presume it's gone off. thought i might have has a lipase problem but after reading a couple of other posts it seems like it could be to do with how soon i freeze after pumping. i usually leave inthe fridge for a day or so before freezing in case i need it, then replace it with a new lot and freeze the old. would it stay fresher longer if i immedately froze it. at the moment my frozen stuff is only lasting 3 wks max. thanks in advance.

It could be a variety of issues. What are you freezing in? What kind of freezer are you using? And where in the freezer are you storing your milk?

i'm using avent via cups with lids and freezer bags (double bagging) and the freezer is a fridge/freezer with seperate freezer, and i store them at the bottom of the freezer. i actually tested some that was a week old, and it had started to taste yucky already, surely it wouldn't go off that quick. thanks
