Default how to ease pain after pumping

after i pump, if i have to put on a bra or if i use "lily pads", i have much more pain at the next pumping session. does anyone have suggestions on how to ease the pain if i must wear a bra/nursing pads or the "lily pads"? once i return to work, i am very afraid of the pain when pumping!

I've never had that problem with pumping, but I know Medela makes something called breastshells. They're supposed to keep your nipples from rubbing against clothing and nursing pads while allowing for air circulation too!

    Here's a link:

    Hope this helps!

your pump suction or cycle may be too high... it shouldn't hurt
Proud Mommy to Michael who is 3 now! Michael was nurseynursed for 2 years!!
I did not make up this persona, but if I did, I would make myself 50 pounds lighter and 5 years younger!!!!
