Red face Storing milk while away

I am going to be leaving my 8 1/2 month old for a long weekend. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to store the milk when I am away from her or should I just pump and dump the whole time?

Will the place you are staying have somewhere you can freeze the milk or a fridge you can use? Many hotels will put a small fridge in your room if you request it... then you could bring an ice chest and keep the milk cool on your way home that way... I would hate to think of having to pump all weekend and then throwing the milk away!

Great question! I have the same exact problem. I'm hoping the room has a fridge so I can at least keep it cool. My question is: Can I freeze the milk when I get home?? Or does the milk have to be frozen as soon as it's pumped??

    Hi,

You've probably gone on your trip by now , but, to answer your question, you don't have to freeze the milk right away.
