    Question Won't take frozen milk!!

I have successfully breastfed 3 kids while working and of course the fourth has to throw me a curve!!! He does fine with fresh milk, but completely refuses frozen milk. I am using Gerber bags and placing them in a deep freeze. My husband has tried using milk that is most recently frozen, mixing it with fresh, etc., but he absolutely will not take a drop of it. I have plenty of fresh, but hate the thought of losing all of the milk in the freezer.
    Any suggestions?

Have you smelled the milk to make sure it smells fresh? It could be possible you have extra Lipase in your milk, which would mean it would go bad very quickly, possibly before you have a chance to freeze it. If this is the problem, you can boil your milk to a scald right after you express it and then freeze it. There's more info here: http://www.kellymom.com/bf/pumping/l...essedmilk.html

It's possible your LO just prefers your fresh milk. Mine certainly did! She would often turn down my frozen milk, but never my fresh milk.
