    Default sleeping longer

I have a 7 week old and was wondering what you do when they sleep longer stretches. My daughter sometimes (not often) sleeps a longer stretch, like 4 hours vs. 1 or 2. I feed a different side everytime I feed and my boob gets really painful.

Once your LO gets into a more consistent pattern, your supply will eventually regulate to match. In the meantime, you can pump or express just enough milk to make you more comfortable. (Don't empty the breast, though, or it will think it needs to make even more millk!) HTH!
I love my kids. I care for them accordingly. What more can I say?

My son is seven weeks too! For a little while he was sleeping like 5-6 hours at night. Now this week, he decided he'd like to be held and chat all night! I guess it's just going to be a random thing while they are growing! Even at 3 AM those little smiles and coos are too cute. Of course I am not working so I haven't worried about sleep. I can't imagine how I did this with my others when I had to go back to work right at 6 weeks!
