    that sounds like a good plan. Wake baby if she doesn't wake up after 3 hours.
    some newborns like to nurse up to 12 times in 24 hours. And that is normal for them. They like to cluster feed also.

    I recently read a book "Baby Whisperer", and I recommend reading this book. It tells you how to distinguish the different cries - hungry vs overtired etc. If your baby is 6 weeks old, depending on their size, they shouldn't really need to eat every hour -- could be an overtired cry...

    My 6 week old isn't still eating every hour! I was just remembering those first days like Mom2Gustavo is experiencing (that seems SO long ago already!) when baby fed for what seemed like forever in the day. Her baby is only like one week.
