    Default lactch question (again)

I did post this in another area also..

Thanks for all of your support..

I am trying to fix the latch situation and get it better.. in doing so sometimes it's great and other times not so great .

When I do think it's great there are lots of times when dd's gums rub against my aereolas and they are so so sore now. Is this normal?? I think she chews on me sometimes when she isn't so hungry -

How do you stop the chewing??

    Thanks
    Lauren

It sounds like you lo needs to open his/her mouth wider. Something that helped me was to bring my lo chin first...like the image that appears in kellymom.com See it here: http://www.kellymom.com/bf/start/bas...resources.html

The LC I met with would say touch (baby's chin against my breast) then push in quickly when baby opens wide.

Feel free to email me with any other questions.

Another mom had posted this and I have to say it is one of the best videos that shows latching, positioning, and hand expressing.
