    Unhappy Bottle Problems

Having severe difficulties getting Katy to take a bottle of ebm.
Thinking about going back to work in about 2m time, not sure if I can if she won't take a bottle.
    Any advice?
    Thanks

have you had someone else try to give her a bottle? my dd still refuses bottles from me, but takes them from her dad and grandma willingly. she's now 8 mos old and I went back to work at 6 wks.

believe me...it was the night before I went back to work that we tried having someone else give her a bottle. I thought I wasn't going to go to work again!

You might find this webpage helpful:

Many mothers find that being completely out of the room (or house, even) helps. Some other things might be: baby facing out, baby in motion, and warming the bottle nipple under warm, running water before offering.

Maybe try a different type of bottle and/or nipple?

We had to try several types before finding one DD would take.

I agree with having someone else bottle feed... we've been bottle-feeding EBM since DD was 6 weeks and I've only done it two or three times.

    HTH... Good luck
