    Default storing in self defrosting freezer...

    why cant u store against the back wall of the freezer? i cant find anything about why... I didnt know this and thats where my milk is... maybe thats why it is tastig funny

    Because when the freezer defrosts, the side walls actually warm up. This can lead to a thaw/refreeze cycle in the milk.

    My best suggestion is to store the milk away from the floor and side walls of your freezer. If you're using storage bags, seal those in a ziplock, then again inside a plastic bin. That should help keep them frozen despite the defrost cycles.

    eek!!! I keep em away from the walls but they sit on the bottom, i check them regularly and they seem to be frozen hard and fine.... i just started putting the newer bags on the shelf, buit they arent in a plastic bag or container. the ones o the bottom are in a plastic tupperware container..
