Default How long does LO comfort nurse/pacify?

I know the length of time will be different for each LO, but how much is too much? I think my LO would pacify for an hour if I could stand it.

it's up to you how long you will let your lo comfort nurse, but before you think of it as a curse realize that it is helping to give you a good strong milk supply!
my son when he was younger would do the same, an hour or more if i would let him. but at about 3 months, it drastically cut back.
if it really bothers you and you need a break you can try a pacifier (if you're past the first 4-6 weeks of nursing), or offer a finger for the baby to suck on.
hang in there, sometimes baby just needs YOU! you're doing a great job.

Thanks for the info! The only thing that bothers me about his comfort nursing is that he gets lazy & "bites" me. Thank goodness he doesn't have teeth yet!

I wish my son still nursed to pacify himself. As nutty as it used to drive me, I miss it now. I hope he returns to that someday soon.
