    Question re-freeze???

    last night I took out two 4 oz freezer bags and defrosted them, can I re-freeze them again???

    I think the general rule for anything you defrost is to never re-freeze. I wouldn't take the chance.

    I think that's a pretty definite no. Also, they recommend using any defrosted breastmilk within 24 hours!

    The general rule is to use or discard frozen breastmilk w/in 24 hours.

    I don't have the exact quote, but I do know that in Breastfeeding and Human Lactation there is a blurb about milk being okay to refreeze if it is still slushy (i.e. still has ice crystals).
