How soon after you consume dairy products would you notice if it adversely affects your baby bf'ing?

My baby was very gassy... when he was about 3 - 4 weeks old I would have to "help" him have a BM movement every day. I would push up his feet and do a bicycle movement with his leg. I gave up dairy and he started doing better in a week. After a few weeks I started introducing dairy back in my diet alittle at a time. Every baby is different... it is kind of a trial and error thing.

Well I ate this big piece of ice cream cake, and at the next feeding his stomach was very bubbly and gassy and he totally did not want to BF even though he was hungry.

my dd was bothered by ice cream, she would spit up alot and cried, after I cut that out she was a joy to be around.
I could have yogart and cheese.
some moms find when they cut out cows milk baby has less colic.
