    Question Selling Milk?

Im not and I wouldnt buy it but I just really wondered after I read the threads description if people actually do that.Do they?Do people buy it?I never even thought that was possible. Did it happen hre?Or was it a precautionary weirdo warning or something?

Here is an article on human milk donation: http://www.llli.org/llleaderweb/LV/LVAprMay00p19.html

LLLI does not recommend or endorse selling one's milk, and it cautions that there are risks to informal milk sharing arrangements that do not involve a milk bank.

Donating to a milk bank, however, can be a great way for a mama with an abundant milk supply to help babies who, for whatever reason, cannot get the milk they need directly from their mothers.

Yeah! People do sell it and donate it. Its called "wet nursing" - comes from the days when village women who couldn't feed their babies would get another village woman to do it for them. Pretty cool!
