    Question probiotics question

I have tonsilitis and was rx'd antibiotics. I also picked up a bottle of acidophilus b/c I know of the risk of getting thrush when on antibiotics. Is it enough that I take it or should I also treat Lucas (somehow)?

They make baby-probiotics. You could also feed him yogurt.

Sorry to hear you are under the weather!

I would go for the probiotics for the baby too. There's more in it than yogurt, although its still a good suggestion. I was told that you can give a small amount of the probiotic you would take to your LO. Just break open a capsule, and mix it in some water, or BM, or even wet a clean finger and let him suck it off. My LO loves it!

All three of us are taking probiotics, we take the same one. Our pediatrician said they can take the same as I do, just to cut the dose in half twice (ie. I take 1/2 tsp, they take 1/8 tsp)

Yogurt is great, although Jeremy got a nasty yeast infection after antibiotics and he was eating daily yogurt. So the priobiotics are a good suggesiton I might try next time.

I actually mixed the baby probiotic powder into some full fat yogurt for DD and she ate it up.
