Default Do I need to wake her to eat?

My daughter is 5 weeks old and has been gaining weight great. I feed her every 2-3 hours during the day. She's a sound sleeper at night and I've been letting her go one 4 hour stretch between feedings each night. I was wondering if I still need to wake her up at night to eat, or if I should just let her sleep and feed her when she wakes (of course that means waiting until she cries, which I know isn't the best way to start a feeding.) Last night I forgot to set my alarm and she went 6 hours between feedings! Also, will my milk supply be hurt by going this long between feedings at night?

Nope, you don't need to wake her. And your milk supply will adjust to match her needs. And DD eventually got to where she would wake and stir a while before she would cry, maybe yours will too. Keep up the good work!

My baby is doing the same thing! I was wandering if I should wake her at night too. During the day she would rather sleep than eat.
