Default Biological Nurturing-a new approach to positioning

Don't know if this has been discussed before, but this is a video showing it in action.

    Enjoy!

I didn't know it had a name other than "comfortable", but I've been doing this all along. I don't do it as much now as he's 35 lbs, and I'm 6 mos. pregnant...comfortable, it's not.

I wish I had seen this when I was pregnant. I was so determined to nurse that I think I made it harder on myself and my LO. Because I had a c-section, it was 2 hours before I was able to hold my baby and I practically broke into a sweat trying to get him to latch right away. I had this idea in my head that if I didn't get it right off the bat, that it would never happen later.

Looking back, I wish I had just unswaddled him and lain him on my chest, skin to skin, and enjoyed the moment!!

I'm new at BF'ing, but I tend to do this with my newborn although as he gets longer, I may have to switch his position to the one shown in the report. I love it because it allows me to be close to my child, and I'm able to sneak in a few valuable winks in the wee hours of the morning while he feeds.
