    Default Honey while nursing

Hi, I use honey in my drinks instead of sugar. I am guessing that there is no risk of batulism(sp?) thru my breast milk but wanted to make sure... thanks!

I wouldn't think so, my LC told me to use honey to sweeten mother's milk tea.

Honey is fine for mom as any botulism spores would be broken down in the digestive system. The reason why babies shouldn't have it is because their digestive systems have not yet developed enough to kill the spores. A quick google search would pull up more info.
