Smile A lot of spit up

My 3 week old newborn had been bfing evey 2-3 hours on average without any problems. Lately, however, I have noticed that he spits up a gush of milk immediately after I bf him. I have tried burping him midway during the feeding and at the end of feeding to prevent so much spitting up but he still spits up quite a bit of milk after feeding. Any suggestions are welcome.

You are not alone. My DD did the same thing the first few weeks. Now she is 3 months old and she does it once in a while. I think she spits mostly when she is going through a growth spurt. But it's totally normal.

Sounds normal. Keep an eye on it, and if it starts looking more like projectile spit up rather than just the normal stuff go here, this site called Kellymom has alot of information about spit up. More than you could ever want to know!
Oh, and welcome to the forum!
