Default How long is baby considered a newborn?

My daughter is 7 weeks old... is she still a newborn or do I need to move up to the infant threads? Thanks!

post where ever you want I don't think we are picky around here...
I think of a newborn as any age below 4 months.

Technically (in health professional "circles"), the "newborn" or "neonatal" period is the first 4 weeks/28 days after birth. But I'm with Andrea, life's to short to be picky. Post wherever you feel comfortable! (Can even double-dip and post in two folders!)

And congrats on your 7 week old daughter! It was between 6-8 weeks with my first that I began to feel we were getting the hang of being a BF team -- and I learned how portable a BF baby is and started taking her everywhere!

I think under 4 months is considered newborn. My daughter will no longer be a newborn in 2 days
I still post here on the newborn board.
