    Default working from the home

Hi. I have a six month old and my husband and I were about to move to Birmingham, AL (that's where he's from) mainly b/c it's sooo expensive to live in southern california on a one income.

Well, things didn't go as planned and now we are contemplating staying. We are both committed for me to stay at home w/ my baby...but could definitely use and do some work out of the home.

Does anyone know of any websites or blogs that specifically cater to at home moms who are searching for part time work from the home?

christiansahm.com I think... Also, you are in the perfect spot to work for jetblue. They hire people to work from home to take reservations. You have to be within the local calling area of one of their hubs. Long Beach is one of them. Try jetblue.com I would have loved to work for them! We moved out of their area, though...

I don't know of any websites but I wanted to wish you luck. I work from home, I am a teacher, and I am so incredibly thankful for the opportunity to do so. I sure hope you can find something.

Welcome! Working at home can be a wonderful experience! Easy steps to starting an at home business via eBay or starting a website can be found at http://www.makemoneywithyourhomebusiness.com. Also, http://www.craigslist.org may have local opportunities in your area. Not that you are a dummy, but this book may help you get started. Network with everyone you can online, around town and through family.

    Good Luck!

I looked for years and years before I had my baby for an at-home job mostly because I'm a home-body. I started working for a trucking/brokerage company a year before I got pregnant and I was lucky enough to be able to take my dispatching job home with me. I've been working from home for almost two years. I can be very hard to find a dependable income working from home--my mom makes decent money on Ebay. She goes to estate auctions and buys cheap junk then sells it on online. It's very time consuming but maybe worth a shot.
