    Default sudden nipple soreness

DS is 15 months and isn't teething, and has had all 8 front teeth and 4 molars for quite awhile, so I don't think it's latch adjustment issues. We went through a bad batch of thrush when DS was first born, so I know the signs of that, and this doesn't seem quite the same (no burning or redness, hurts just as bad while nursing though). We are TTC, but I didn't think soreness would onset before I got a positive (AF is a tad late, but HPTs have been negative).

Any other ideas for what it could be?

LOL I think you could be pregnant!! I had sore nipples for at least a week before I had a +ve test!! Unless you get sore nipples before your period is due normally I'd say you may have got lucky.

    Congratulations!!

It could very well be hormonal! It wouldn't be the first time sore nipples preceded a + on a HPT, or it could be your cycle about to show up.

yup I wouldn't be suprized either if you get the + test.
Sometimes nipples will be sore aslo from a badly fit bra, or new soap, too much foreplay with so....many many causes!
