Default eating or is he just becoming aware of his surroundings

My LO will nurse well for 10-15 minutes some days and then just start playing with hmy nipple and looking around. Other days he's more focused and will nurse for longer with his eyes closed.

When I nurse during the day my breasts are not as full but I know there's milk coming out. It's especially during these type of sessions that he seems to finish quicker and then just plays with my nipple by coming off an on. Does this happen to you?

    He'll be 3 months on April 28th.

He's probably becoming aware of his surroundings, but also becoming more efficient at nursing as well. I think I started to notice that DD's nursing sessions were shorter around that time. Now at 7 months, she usually only nurses for 5 minutes, unless she's going down for a nap or bedtime... then it's usually 10-15 minutes.

I can't believe your DS is almost 3 months old!

Yep. My LO is 3 1/2 months and we're going through the same thing.

Actually, she gets really distracted by her surroundings. She's really taking in the world around her, that's for sure!

Good to know it's just not us I have a nursing necklace, which I thought I save for later but sounds like he can use it now.
