Question Spitting up at AM feeding

My DS just started sleeping for a 6-hour stretch last week; now he is spitting up during that next feeding. He doesn't seem to be eating too fast and I have tried burping him every 5 minutes instead of just after he finishes one side. Anyone else have this problem?

    Thanks,

    Jen

My 9 wk old doesn't sleep that long but nurses all night (we cosleep) and in the morning he is spitting up lots. I'm also wondering what's up with that

Could be that after a long stretch of sleep, he is very hungry. He may be injest so much breast milk, that his belly ejects some! My daughter used to spit up constantly, and it seemed to help if i tried to not let her get too full, maybe take a break for 5 min or so to let her milk digest a little.

I have given up trying to figure out why my son spits some milk up now and then! Though I do know he'll do it after he's upset sometimes. I just don't think the little ones really know what they're doing yet!
