    Default Whole milk

So we all have read articles about how long EBM and formula can be left out at room temp. What about cow's milk? I think most formula's say they can be left out for an hour, would that be true with cow's milk also?

I agree with Mummy. I would add, that if the cow's milk still felt cool, that its probably ok. I don't think an hour would be a big deal, but I don't know how good it would taste if it had sat out more than an hour and was in a glass or bottle, since the quantity would be much smaller than the jug you bought the milk in, and would get warm much quicker.

As for actual figures on when the milk goes bad, I don't know, but I'd say it would take more than an hour at least.

Remember that cow's milk (most, anyway) is pasteurized, so it has some protection in that. But I agree....who wants to drink warm milk, anyway?

It's funny that you all said you wouldn't want to drink the milk warm. DD won't touch it unless it's at least room temp. I just thought I'd better ask for some other opinions since DD is a "snacker". She just carries her sippy around with her all morning (before nap time) which is about 2-3 hours and only drinks a little at a time. I've just started putting less in there and replacing the milk every so often. Thanks ladies!
