    Default low milk supply?

My daughter will nurse for a bit then come off my breast and give me the milk sign. She'll go back to the breast for a moment and come off and do the same thing. Is there anything this could mean other than her demand is greater than my supply? Nothing has changed that would affect my supply (and I am not pregnant). This has been going on for about a week now.
    Thanks.

Does she act upset? I have seen some babies do this when they learn to sign or talk--it just seems like they want to talk about what they are doing. It isn't necessarily a "request" for more milk, they are just telling you about what they are doing and practicing the sign/word. Could that be it?

Thanks for your reply. My daughter has known the milk sign for a while, but the point was not lost. With these little ones, everything is tied into everything else; a tooth breaks through and suddenly they can walk backward. I think it was just wishful thinking. I am pretty ready to start bringing nursing to a close and was hoping nature was helping me.
