    Default a super silly question

Does anyone know if eating cinnamon in large amounts can affect your milk supply at all? I heard that from a reliable source and can't find anything to back it up...never heard that before...

I've never heard that. What was your reliable source?

I have heard that regular small amounts of cinnamon (like 1/8 tsp on your oameal every day) can help with weight loss -- so I'm not discounting the idea out of hand. Curious to hear more.

the source was a lactation consultant outside of La Leche League. I had never heard it before either, and was just curious, too. She actually had heard that in large amounts it could help to dry up your millk supply for weaning??? I can't find any reference to that anywhere and have checked Kellymom and Dr. Jack Newman website.

I love cinnamon and put it on a lot of things and have never had a problem.
