    Default Hot tub OK?

This is probably going to sound like a dumb question, and I'm sure the answer is out there somewhere, but does anybody know if its ok to use a hot tub while bf'ing? Will it spoil my milk or anything?

no personal experience - but I found this on Kellymom.com:

    http://kellymom.com/health/lifestyle...es.html#hottub

"Nursing moms should simply observe the usual precautions when using a hot tub. Make sure that it is clean and well maintained, as organisms found in hot tubs can cause a wide variety of ailments, including skin rashes and infections, urinary tract infections, irritation of the digestive system, lung disease and even hepatitis and Legionnaires' disease."

We have a hot tub. I do go in it, but when I am done I take a shower. Just because of the chemicals in it.

Before I got preg with #2, I used my hot tub regularly and never noticed any changes with milk or issues with nursing. I used to joke that I was warming her milk or making her a hot cup of milk.... The water was always at around 110, I'm sure my body temp never got anywhere near that.

From experience, I think it's fine.
